Drake Seemingly Liked Halsey’s Kendrick Lamar Rapping Clip

Halsey recently shared a reel on Instagram showing her rapping along to Kendrick Lamar’s song “Swimming Pools.” The reel caught Drake’s eye, and he liked the post. Drake’s liking of the post drew considerable attention from fans, some of whom speculated about whether he and Lamar are ending their long-running beef.

Fans spot Drake’s like on Halsey’s clip rapping a Kendrick Lamar song

Halsey uploaded a reel on Instagram in which she compared rapper Dax’s flow to that of Kendrick Lamar. She first played a snippet from Dax’s “Joker” where the artist raps, “You’re insane, you’re in pain, I can tell by what you’re saying, but.”

The “Gasoline” artist then played a snippet from Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools.” She sang along to the following snippet before interrupting her flow with a chuckle:

“OK, now open your mind and listen to me, Kendrick. I am your conscience; if you don’t hear me, then you will be history, Kendrick. I know that you’re nauseous right now and I’m hopin’ to lead you to victory, Kendrick.”

Halsey wrote in the video, “I can’t unhear this I’m sorry I’m deeply online.” Her post has received 278,534 likes as of writing. Notably, Drake was one of the people who liked the post, which many fans noticed.

Fans had a number of different reactions upon learning that Drake liked the post. Some even wondered if the “Hotline Bling” rapper and Lamar were ending their feud.

“Drake liking the post is funny,” one user commented under Halsey’s post. “So did Kendrick and Drake squash the beef?” Another user asked on X (formerly Twitter).

Drake and Kendrick Lamar were originally on friendly terms before their long-running feud. They collaborated on “Buried Alive Interlude,” a single from the former’s album, and the song “Poetic Justice” from the latter’s album Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City. In addition, Lamar served as an opening act on Drake’s Club Paradise Tour.

However, their collaborative relationship turned to rivalry in 2013 after Lamar dissed Drake on Big Sean’s “Control.” Their feud escalated in 2023, after J. Cole claimed on “First Person Shooter” that he, Drake, and Lamar were modern hip-hop’s three big artists. Lamar countered Cole’s claim in “Like That,” rejecting the idea of a big three and stressing that only he had the top spot — referring to himself as “big me.”

Meanwhile, Halsey is currently on a break from her Back to Badlands Tour. Her next performance will take place on December 13, 2025, at MDLBEAST Soundstorm 25 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
