Another missed event has people wondering about Dolly Parton’s condition. She couldn’t attend a Hall of Fame ceremony for the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions in Orlando. Her theme park was inducted, but Dolly couldn’t be there in person due to doctors’ orders.
This is one of many events the 79-year-old has had to skip. “Health concerns” is the reason she missed her most recent appearance in Florida. Her string of absences has many worried that the Queen of Country’s health may be in decline.
Dolly Parton has strict orders from the doctor

Dolly has received her share of honors this year and was scheduled to perform numerous shows. Unfortunately, fans have been left disappointed time and again, as the singer has been unable to attend these gatherings. On her theme park Dollywood’s Instagram Dolly posted a video saying, “I’ve been dealing with a few health challenges this fall, and my doctors told me to take it easy for just a little while.”
A few days before missing that event, Dolly couldn’t be present to accept her honorary Oscar. Last month, six of her December shows at Caesars Palace were postponed because of her health. They’ve been rescheduled for September 2026.
Regarding rumors of her health in decline, she added, “I wanted you to know that I’m okay.” Earlier this month, she said she was getting better and “taking care of herself.” When her husband Carl Dean died earlier this year, she says she didn’t take enough care of herself.
Dolly’s sister, Freida, had many concerned when she posted online that she was up all night praying for her sibling. Dolly, however, has assured fans that her condition is not serious and that she will be okay. “I ain’t ready to die yet,” she previously posted online. On March 3, Dolly announced on social media that Carl had died at 82.
