Corey Feldman Claims DWTS Behind-The-Scenes Is ‘Most Toxic’

Corey Feldman may have already been eliminated from Dancing with the Stars, but he’s not done talking about it yet. He still has thoughts about what Maksim Chmerkovskiy said about his behavior during the show, and he is now alleging that the show has a toxic behind-the-scenes environment.

“There was a lot of stupidity in the mudslinging that went on behind the scenes,” the former actor said in a pre-recorded interview with radio show Gurvey’s Law shared by The Daily Mail. “Actually there, everything was great. But the behind-the-scenes drama and BS that people throw around that show. I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s the worst, like, the most toxic.”

Corey admitted that he was “not excited” to return to the show for the Season 34 finale due to the negativity among the stars.

“On the set, everyone gets along,” he said. ‘Everybody’s great. Everybody’s happy. You’re working hard. You don’t even have time to look up. You’re just working.”

“But then, you start reading things in the paper, like ‘this person’s mad at this person’ or ‘these people aren’t talking to each other,’” he continued. “Or ‘are people working hard enough?’ ‘Corey Feldman destroyed the show. He destroyed the show because he was such an egomaniac. It’s so difficult to work with.’”

Dance pro Maksim leveled some of those allegations against him. He said that Corey was giving Jenna Johnson (Maksim’s sister-in-law and Corey’s partner) a difficult time. To be fair, he didn’t say the rest of the things in Corey’s tirade. And to be completely fair, Corey did start training late due to previous commitments.

Corey previously spoke up about Max’s allegations on Jenna’s social media. He commented, “I’m so sorry for any negativity the media is using to give the false narrative that our time together was anything less than enjoyable,” he wrote.

Corey said that Jenna told him not to pay attention to Max and any of it. He also said in the past that he enjoyed his time with Jenna. He admitted that he felt she deserved better.

When they were eliminated, Corey shared, “I feel really terrible because she deserved better, personally speaking. Jenna’s amazing. She was the queen from last year, so she deserves to be the champ every year in my book ‘cause she’s really great.”

Dancing with the Stars airs on Tuesdays, at 8 p.m. on ABC and Disney+. It streams on Hulu the next day.
