Tara Reid ‘Blacked Out’ During Alleged Drugging Incident — Report

Tara Reid is speaking out after what she alleges was a frightening drugging incident at a Chicago-area hotel bar. The actress filed a police report this week, claiming she woke up in a hospital with no memory of several hours. Now, she says she is prepared to pursue charges as authorities begin an investigation.

Tara Reid is ‘willing to prosecute’ after alleged drugging incident — report

According to a police report obtained by Page Six, Reid alleges the incident occurred over the weekend while she was staying at the DoubleTree hotel in Rosemont, Illinois, for a celebrity signing event. The 50-year-old actress told police she had gone to the hotel bar, where she noticed what she described as an unusual number of YouTubers and online personalities milling around the lobby.

Reid reports that she ordered a glass of white wine at the hotel bar. It was at that time when a man approached her, claiming to be a “successful influencer.” She told police she later stepped outside with him for a cigarette. However, upon returning, she noticed a napkin placed over her drink. The last clear memory she says she has is seeing a couple sit down nearby.

“The next thing I remember was I was waking up in the hospital around 8 hours or more later,” Reid stated in the report. She added that she had “completely blacked out” and could not recall anything that occurred after noticing the napkin. Reid’s agent later picked her up from the hospital.

Complicating matters further, Reid said the man she had spoken with outside later texted her videos of herself. She interpreted these messages as potentially extortionate. Reid claims he also told her that she had called hotel security on him and that she had consumed only one drink that night. “I am willing to prosecute,” she added.

A spokesperson for the Rosemont Public Safety Department confirmed that officers responded to an EMS call at 12:39 a.m. Sunday involving a “sick person,” who was transported to a local hospital. No additional reports were filed at that time. Nonetheless, officials say they have since spoken with Reid and have launched an investigation.
