Karoline Leavitt’s allegedly got a family tie to a mother arrested by ICE
Michael Leavitt, the brother of Karoline, has a child with a woman named Bruna Ferreira. During a routine traffic stop, she was detained by ICE, per the Boston Globe. This occurred in New Hampshire as she was on her way to pick up Karoline’s nephew, her son, from school. In a brief moment, her life was changed forever, and her son was left without a parent to bring him home from school.
When she was taken into custody, she mentioned that her son is the nephew of the White House press secretary. Further, her words were ignored. In fact, Michael and his father responded coldly, telling her to self-deport. Bruna immigrated to the United States from Brazil with her parents as a child in 1998. She has never lived in Brazil as an adult. Bruna and Michael have not been together for nearly a decade.
The news was met by various liberal commentators calling out her hypocrisy. Online, people were calling her out for her support of a policy that is now directly impacting her nephew. People are unsure why she could rally around a situation that could put her own family members at risk. She has not commented on the situation, nor has there been an update on Bruna’s status.
