Taylor Swift is once again rethinking her wedding plans, changing what the grand affair with fiancé Travis Kelce will look like. After reports earlier this month suggested she wanted a grand, star-studded celebration, a new update claims she now wants to keep things much smaller and more personal. And it appears to be a fitting move for someone who has built a career on knowing when to perform and when to pull back.
Taylor Swift wants ‘intimate’ wedding, claims source
According to Rob Shuter’s #ShuterScoop, Taylor Swift has decided to change her wedding plans. She is reportedly “pulling back” from the large-scale wedding she was planning earlier, with a source claiming that Swift wants it to be “intimate” and “calm.” Moreover, the singer “wants to actually enjoy this, not perform it.”
This marks a major shift from what insiders previously described as a lavish affair for the couple. Earlier reports claimed Swift was planning a huge celebration with more than 300 guests and performances by close friends, including Selena Gomez and Sabrina Carpenter. A source at the time told RadarOnline that Swift “went back and forth” but ultimately chose to go bigger.
Now, however, Shuter reported that Swift’s focus has moved away from spectacle and toward “something real” and “grounded.” The guest list will reportedly be small, with only close friends and family in attendance. This scale-back reportedly extends to her bridesmaids’ plans as well, with earlier ideas for multi-destination celebrations now being cut down to something simpler.
Even the location search reflects the change. Rather than seeking out a glamorous estate or resort, Swift apparently wants a venue that feels deeply personal. According to Shuter, she wants a venue that she personally resonates with.
Swift has lived most of her adult life under a spotlight, which may explain why she might consider changing her wedding plans. As one source told Shuter, “She doesn’t want her wedding to feel like a tour stop.”
