Sarah Ferguson Looking for New Home Amid Royal Fallout

Sarah Ferguson is reportedly zeroing in on a new place to live. The former Duchess of York has been on the hunt for a home. This comes amid her and her ex-husband Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s worlds were turned upside down.

The reputation of the two former royals took a massive hit, perhaps permanently, for their affiliation with disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Not only did they lose their royal titles amid the scandal, but also their Royal Lodge home, which they had lived in for decades. The two are reportedly on notice as to when they must vacate that property.

With time running out, Sarah has her eyes on a particular area of the UK for her next home. A source close to People reports that “She’s looking for a place in Windsor.” That would be an ideal way for Sarah to stay close to her two daughters, who have emerged from their parents’ mess relatively unscathed.

The Windsor area is about a 45-minute drive from Princess Beatrice. She splits her time between an apartment in St. James’ Palace and a farmhouse in the Cotswolds. Beatrice’s sister, Princess Eugenie, has an Ivy Cottage on the Kensington Palace grounds and a place in Portugal with her husband, Jack Brooksbank. There were reports last month that Sarah might move to Portugal to escape the unwanted attention in the UK.

Sarah is reportedly weighing several options for places to live in Windsor. Sources say she’s not asking for a property or special provisions. That’s unlike her ex-husband, who is moving to a place on his brother, King Charles’ Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The Royal Lodge holds many memories for the disgraced former royals. Both of their daughters were married on that property. The deadline for Andrew and Sarah to vacate that place is reportedly January 31, 2026.
