At a New York City screening of The Housemaid, Sydney Sweeney stepped into full old Hollywood mode, dazzling onlookers with a sparkling white gown. The actress has been on a stylish streak while promoting her upcoming psychological thriller, and her latest appearance continued that momentum with a nostalgic yet bold take.
Sydney Sweeney turns heads in bold gown
Sydney Sweeney attended the NYC screening in a shimmering white gown, dripping in crystals and exuding classic Hollywood elegance. The dress featured a plunging neckline, delicate spaghetti straps, and a ribbon bow accent at the bust. She paired the look with a feathered boa draped loosely around her arms, giving the ensemble an added touch of vintage drama as she posed for paparazzi.
The Euphoria star completed the retro-inspired outfit with voluminous curls and soft pink glam, keeping her makeup minimal yet radiant. Dainty earrings added sparkle without overwhelming the crystal-covered gown, allowing the entire look to stand out effortlessly on that evening.
Sweeney also shared the red carpet with her Housemaid co-star, Amanda Seyfried. The latter wore a soft pink halter gown with ruching across the midsection. Their joint appearance was another stylish moment between the cast, who have been touring for the upcoming film’s promo.
Speaking of the film, The Housemaid is a psychological thriller releasing in theaters on December 19. Sweeney stars as Millie, a woman hoping for a fresh start as a live-in housemaid for upscale couple Nina and Andrew Winchester, played by Amanda Seyfried and Brandon Sklenar. But Millie soon discovers the pair’s dark secrets, leading to shocking arcs as she becomes entangled in their unsettling world. Michele Morrone also joins the cast.
Directed by Paul Feig, the upcoming Lionsgate adaptation of Freida McFadden’s bestselling novel is set to be one of the final literary-based releases of 2025. Originally slated to open opposite Timothée Chalamet’s Marty Supreme, the film will now debut alongside Avatar: Fire & Ash.
