Chris Pratt Shares How He ‘Checked Out’ His Now-Wife in Church

Chris Pratt recently clarified the misconception that he was introduced to his now-wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, by his mother-in-law, Maria Shriver. He revealed that he actually met her at a church in Hollywood while he was “checking out” other girls; his eyes then landed on Katherine. At the time, he was with his oldest son, Jack, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Anna Faris.

During a conversation with Steve Doocy on “Fox & Friends,” Pratt addressed a rumor about his first meeting with his wife, Katherine, revealing that he wasn’t set up by his mother-in-law. He said, “That’s actually not true. Let’s settle it now.”

He further clarified that his paths crossed with his wife at a church in Hollywood. “I was at a church in Hollywood, and I looked over, and I saw her. And I know you’re not supposed to be, like, checking out girls at church, but I’m only human. And I thought, ‘Wow, she’s really cute,” he added.

At the time, he revealed that his son Jack from the previous marriage was present with him when he first came across Katherine. He explained, “I was there with my son Jack, and I picked him up from the kids program, and Jack and I met Katherine basically at the same time. And, yes, the rest is history.”

The romance rumors about Pratt and Schwarzenegger began in 2018, when they were spotted enjoying their picnic in Santa Barbara, California. In December 2018, Pratt hard-launched their romance on the occasion of Katherine’s birthday on Instagram.

He made a sweet collage of her and their couple pictures, with a caption, “Happy Birthday, Chief! Your smile lights up the room. I’ve cherished our time together.” The following year, in January, the duo got engaged, and in June, they tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Montecito, California. The couple shares three kids: Lyla, Eloise, and Ford.
