Sydney Sweeney is getting some love from Fox News. The actress has been getting her share of hate this year, with MSNBC host Krystal Ball recently criticizing her physical appearance. Katrina Campins of Fox Business was quick to defend Sydney on Wednesday, saying, “She’s (Sydney) getting hotter, and they’re so jealous.” The criticism against the Euphoria star seemed to have turned into a political war, with some claiming to hate her because of reports that she sides more with the Republican ideology.
Sydney had allegedly registered as a Republican voter months before Donald Trump became the President.
Fox News’ Katrina Campins called Sydney Sweeney a “hot” Republican
Republicans and Democrats never seem to get along about anything. Apparently, that includes the physical appearance of each party’s supporters as well. On Jesse Waters Primetime, Katrina called Sydney “so Republican,’ she gets hotter by the minute.” Katrina goes on to declare, “All Republican women are hot!”
The rebuttal comes after Krystal ripped into Sydney, alleging that she’s trying to appeal to right-wing nationalists. Sydney had apparently been trolled during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon about her look which some deemed Republican.
Krystal previously claimed that Sydney’s intentions came back to bite her after her movie, Christy, struggled at the box office. The film about boxer Christy Martin earned just over $1 million in its opening weekend in theatres. That made it one of the worst openings for a new release that opened on over 2,000 screens.
Sydney got plenty of hate over the summer for an American Eagle advertisement promoting good jeans. Some felt the ad’s script promoted eugenics. In 2023, the actress faced scrutiny when members of her family posted pictures of themselves wearing Make America Great Again (MAGA) hats.
Season Three of her show Euphoria wrapped up filming in November and will premiere in April 2026.
