Timothée Chalamet recently faced a rapid-fire interview round with Lucid Motors. NBA stars Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson asked the actor some questions as he joined British racing driver Ben Collins for a spin around the track.

At one point during the interview, Hart asked Chalamet who the greatest person to receive a text from was. Without hesitation, the actor declared Leonardo DiCaprio, revealing the hilarious text he received from the One Battle After Another star shortly before he began the interview.

“He fried me today. He said, ‘I heard you shaved your head. Say it ain’t so,’” Chalamet shared. DiCaprio referred to Chalamet’s new buzzcut, which he debuted in October, reportedly after he wrapped filming as Paul Atreides for Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part 3. Fans were shocked to see Chalamet part with his signature curls as well.

DiCaprio and Chalamet seem to have been in touch since the two featured in Adam McKay’s 2021 black comedy film, Don’t Look Up. In an interview with The New York Times last year, the Call Me By Your Name star revealed the career advice he received from DiCaprio. “Well, Leonardo DiCaprio said to me, ‘No superhero movies, no hard drugs.’ Which I thought was very good. I follow them both,” the actor shared.

Chalamet added, “But the movie that made me want to act is a superhero movie, The Dark Knight. If the script was great, if the director was great, I’d have to consider it.”

Speaking of The Dark Knight, Chalamet included Christian Bale in his list of the greatest actors of all time during the recent Lucid Motors interview. “Denzel [Washington]’s the GOAT, Christian Bale’s the second GOAT, and Joaquin [Phoenix]’s the strange GOAT,” Chalamet declared.

Meanwhile, fans are excited for Chalamet’s latest offering, Marty Supreme, which comes out this December.
