Thomas Markle won’t be walking right ever again. The estranged father of Meghan Markle underwent another operation this week.
While it appears the father of three will be okay, it will come at a cost. Specifically, his leg, which his son Thomas Jr. confirmed had been removed as part of the procedure. Thomas Sr. fell ill at his home in the Philippines recently and had to be taken to a hospital. He had been admitted to the hospital to have a blood clot removed.
Thomas Markle has had his leg amputated, his son revealed

Thomas’s physical condition will never be the same again. His son Thomas Jr., though, says amputation was unfortunately the only course of action they could take. “There was no option. I was told the leg had to be removed, and it was a case of life or death,” Thomas Jr. told The Daily Mail.
That operation, according to him, though, is separate from the blood clot that the doctors have to remove. He says that blood clot was on his dad’s left thigh, on the leg which wasn’t amputated. While it appears he’ll survive, his son says he’s still concerned. Thomas Jr. said his father was admitted to the intensive care unit after his recent issue.
There’s been plenty of worry surrounding the health of Meghan’s father for years. He’s been in and out of hospitals for a while to tend to many different health issues. He had previously suffered two heart attacks and a stroke. Because of his stroke, he missed Meghan’s highly publicized wedding with Prince Harry.
Thomas was also in the Philippines when an earthquake struck earlier this year. Fortunately, he wasn’t trapped or hurt in the blast.
Meghan, who is the only one of Thomas’ children from his marriage to Doria Ragland, hasn’t talked to her father in years.
