There’s seemingly not much festive goodwill between the Beckhams. The family has reportedly been feuding with their oldest son, Brooklyn Beckham, for the past few years. Now brother Cruz Beckham has hit out at claims their famous parents blocked Booklyn on social media.
Brooklyn Beckham is accused of blocking mom and dad David and Victoria on social media
In an Instagram story posted on Sunday morning, Cruz denied reports that Victoria Beckham and David Beckham had unfollowed Brookyln on social media.
Sharing a screenshot of a news article about the rumors, Cruz wrote: “NOT TRUE. My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked … as did I.”
It’s not clear when the alleged blocking took place. But the family has been in a bad spot for several years, with some reports claiming the bad feeling dates back to Brookyln’s wedding to Nicola Peltz. There were even rumors that Victoria had “barged” onto the dance floor during the couple’s first dance, per TMZ.
Since then, there’s seemingly been little progress in the family patching things up. Brooklyn wasn’t present at dad David’s 50th birthday celebrations, and he also skipped the former footballer’s investiture ceremony in November. Recent reports suggest Brooklyn and wife Nicola plan to spend Christmas away from the Beckhams, too.
While little has been said publicly by either side about the feud, Brooklyn did comment on the drama surrounding the apparent fallout in September. At a sports event he told the Daily Mail: “There’s always going to be people saying negative things but I have a very supportive wife. Me and her, we just do our thing, we just keep our heads down and work. And we’re happy. Everyone is always going to say rubbish. I just try and do this, play some golf with some friends. It’s good fun.”
