Sources claim the tension stems from perceived “status” differences. Foster boasts a celebrated career on Broadway and strong TV credentials, including her role on Younger, but she lacks the global name recognition of Reynolds’ Hollywood peers.
“Ryan sees himself as a movie star and a mogul, and he’s careful about the company he keeps,” the insider explained. The source pointed to Reynolds’ high-profile romantic past before marrying Blake Lively. He was previously married to Scarlett Johansson and engaged to Alanis Morissette. “To put it in high school terms, Ryan is the homecoming king and captain of the football team, and Sutton is one of the geeky theater girls.”
