Actor Billy Bob Thornton received criticism for a scene in his latest series, Landman. On the Paramount+ series’ Sunday, December 28 episode, the Oscar winner shockingly appeared fully naked.
In the scene, Billy Bob’s character, Tommy Norris, lay nude on a hotel bed when room service arrived. When he rolled over, giving the hotel staffer a full view, she screamed, afraid Tommy would sexually assault her.
Billy Bob Thornton left viewers unimpressed

Ali Larter’s character and Tommy’s wife, Angela, diffused the scene as she ran into the room. “Don’t be scared, darling. That wasn’t about you. He eats Cialis like M&Ms and runs into door jams all morning with that thing,” she said to the hotel worker. She apologized to the upset staffer after ordering Tommy to put his “d*ck away.”
Angela scolds her husband, saying, “I was trying to surprise you with breakfast in bed … That is not the best angle of your ball sack, I might add. You really have to love a man to look at him from there.” She adds, “I’m getting dressed. My husband flashes the waitstaff and that kind of kills the mood.”
Though the scene is meant to be comedic, viewers on Reddit were not in on the joke.
One commented, “Hard pass on his d*ck for me,” while another wrote, “I mean how much must you run out of plot ideas if you have to resort to showing d*ck? There’s already been plenty of *ss but now we need d*ck apparently.” A third viewer, also not amused, said, “I haven’t even finished the whole episode yet, saw the first scene and immediately came here.” One viewer is done watching the series because of the scene.
Landman, an American Western dramedy, was created by Taylor Sheridan of Yellowstone fame.
