In October 2025, Gruters revealed to a local government podcast that the funniest thing he found about the 2024 campaign trail was Trump’s McDonald’s menu, specifically the quantity and the items in the meal. Sharing details on the order, he said, “He had hot fries waiting for him from McDonald’s. Then he had a Filet-O-Fish, a Quarter Pounder, and a Big Mac, and I think he combined two of them.” While he didn’t reveal the names of the two sandwiches combined, he did claim he saw him “drinking orange soda” as well.

This Trump’s McDonald’s menu has resurfaced in light of his latest comments about his health to The Wall Street Journal. In it, he revealed that he is in “perfect health” and expressed frustration about the “public debate over his health.” He mentioned that he had been taking more aspirin than recommended. “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart.”

Trump also revealed that he doesn’t prefer regular exercise because he finds it boring. “I just don’t like it. It’s boring. To walk on a treadmill or run on a treadmill for hours and hours, like some people do, that’s not for me,” he said. He also addressed people’s concerns about his health, including a bruise on his hand and occasional doze-offs in meetings. He explained that he sometimes closes his eyes between meetings because he finds it “relaxing.” Alluding to the bruise on his hand, he said, “I have makeup that’s, you know, easy to put on, takes about 10 seconds.”
