‘Hacks’ Stars Mimic Kylie Jenner & Timothée Chalamet in Orange Clothes

Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs turned heads at the 2026 Critics’ Choice Awards. They arrived in matching orange outfits that quickly became one of the evening’s most buzzed-about looks. Their coordinated style playfully mirrored the recent fashion moment Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet created at a film premiere just weeks earlier.

Megan Stalter and Paul W. Downs’ Critics Choice Awards look surprised everyone

Paul W. Downs, 43, stepped out in a bold orange leather suit paired with a black cross-body bag. Meanwhile, Megan Stalter, 35, matched the theme in a cutout orange dress styled with cross-inspired jewelry. The pair posed confidently for cameras, fully committing to the coordinated look.

Downs and Stalter’s appearance referenced Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet’s matching orange outfits at the December premiere of Marty Supreme — a color choice tied to distributor A24’s all-orange marketing campaign — and, by recreating the look on the awards carpet, they delivered a playful, tongue-in-cheek homage.

The fashion moment unfolded during a major night for Hacks. The HBO comedy competed for Best Comedy Series, while Downs earned a nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. Meanwhile, Chalamet also drew attention at the ceremony with a Best Actor nomination for his role in Marty Supreme.

Megan Stalter, who plays Kayla on Hacks, has become known for her unconventional red-carpet choices, often stepping away from traditional glam. This isn’t the first time Stalter has sparked conversation with her wardrobe choices. At the 2025 Emmy Awards, she arrived in a casual outfit pairing a plain white Hanes T-shirt with Levi’s jeans, a black leather belt, pointed flats, and a statement handbag emblazoned with “Cease Fire!” in bold lettering. At the time, she told Variety that she wanted to normalize denim on the red carpet.

Since its HBO debut in 2021, Hacks has grown into an awards favorite, earning 62 Emmy nominations across four seasons and winning 10 awards. In September 2025, co-star Hannah Einbinder confirmed that the show will end with its upcoming fifth season. HBO announced the fifth season in May 2025, just days before Season 4 premiered.
