Sophie Turner is opening up about her dating life. This comes amid rumors that the Game of Thrones actress was in a romantic relationship with Chris Martin. That speculation came in October when she and the Coldplay singer reportedly went out on a secret date.
Sophie had been in a long-term relationship with Joe Jonas, a member of the Jonas Brothers. The two were married in 2019 but officially divorced in 2024. The couple have two daughters together.

Taking care of two young girls, plus a demanding acting schedule, doesn’t leave Sophie much time to date. The Primetime Emmy Award nominee tells Net-a-Porter that as a result, “I haven’t seen my friends, or I haven’t gone on a date in weeks, months!”
As for the speculation that she and Chris are an item, she says that she “only [has] the capacity for work and family right now.” She did add that she is working on it, however. For now, she says having a little peace and quiet is a priority for her after going through a difficult time in her 20s. She will officially turn 30 in February.
For as difficult as her split from Joe was, she says she’s learned a lot about the kinds of obstacles she can overcome in her 20s. Upon separating, Sophie and Joe had a messy divorce, which was ultimately finalized in September 2024. Before being linked to the Coldplay frontman, Sophie reportedly dated aristocrat Peregrine Pearson briefly.
Reporters allege she and Chris had several dates together, with plenty of sparks flying between them. Neither have confirmed a connection, though. In October, it was reported that she could only date Chris with his ex’s approval. Chris was previously married to actress Gwyneth Paltrow.
For his part, Joe has been involved in notable romances with the likes of Stormi Lee and, most recently, Tatiana Gabriela. He said, however, that he doesn’t date much and meets most people on Instagram or TikTok.
