Prince Harry is set to return to the UK this month for a much-anticipated court hearing. His impending visit has seemingly stirred up some concern among the rest of the royal family. Prince William has reportedly hired a top PR executive whose resume allegedly boasts helping clients “get past an issue as quickly as possible with minimum dents.”
Liza Ravenscroft is the future King’s new crisis guru
William’s new communications advisor, Liza Ravenscroft, has strong links to other royal insiders, reports Radar Online. That allegedly includes Julian Payne, who previously served as communications secretary to King Charles and Queen Camilla.
A source told GB News yesterday: “Julian Payne has stayed close to the King, so it is unlikely to be a coincidence that one of his most senior and respected members of staff has taken a key role in William’s office after a period of turmoil – and when they are looking for closer alignment between Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace as minds turn to William’s eventual succession.”
According to RO, Liza’s resume reportedly mentions her ability to help clients “get past an issue as quickly as possible with minimum dents,” with scenarios ranging from boycott campaigns to sexual allegations, reports the publication.
The timing of the new hire does seem a little coincidental. Harry will return to the UK later this month, so all eyes will be on the palace and any possible reunion. And let’s face it, the monarchy doesn’t need any more scandal after last year’s debacle with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
Buckingham Palace is seemingly keen to downplay the new hire, though. A source said: “Liza is joining in a non-crisis-based role in the KP press office, working on the day-to-day press interaction Kensington Palace has. People who work in communications for the Royal Household come from an array of backgrounds,” per RO.
