Why Blake Lively Compared Home Office to ‘Buckingham Palace’ — Report

A deposition transcript from the highly-publicized legal dispute between Blake Lively and her “It Ends with Us” co-star Justin Baldoni revealed that she referred to her home office as “Buckingham Palace.” Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni and several others at Wayfarer Studios in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment — claims he has reportedly denied.

Blake Lively reportedly called office ‘Buckingham palace’ as ‘celebrities walked through there’

On January 14, PEOPLE published a report stating that Justin Baldoni appeared for a deposition on October 6, 2025, in Los Angeles. According to the deposition transcript included in the court filing, the 41-year-old filmmaker allegedly revealed the name Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively had for their home office in Manhattan, New York City.

Baldoni claimed, “She used to call it Buckingham Palace, as she said, because so many celebrities walked through there. I think that was her office in her penthouse apartment, which was the place that Ms. Lively requested all of our meetings be.”

The aforementioned Manhattan apartment has come up before in Lively and Baldoni’s ongoing legal battle. The director claimed that during a meeting at the apartment, Reynolds admonished him for allegedly “fat-shaming” Lively. During another deposition, the “Con Man” actor admitted he had told Lively that he was circumcised during a meeting for their movie, “It Ends with Us.”

The “Gossip Girl” star was pregnant with her fourth child at the time. According to the deposition transcript, when her attorney asked Baldoni if she had directly asked him the question, he replied, “Directly, no.” He also said that there were other people around them when he disclosed this information.

In January 2025, Baldoni’s attorney filed a $400 million countersuit against Reynolds and Lively, alleging extortion, defamation, and invasion of privacy. A judge dismissed the lawsuit but allowed him to refile a few allegations regarding interference in the contracts. Meanwhile, Lively’s lawsuit will go to trial in May 2026.
