Sandra Bullock is getting by with a little help from her friends. The Academy Award-winning actress lost her partner two years ago, but to her, it might still feel like yesterday.
Coping with the loss of her significant other, Bryan Randall, has been understandably painful for her. “She’s still adjusting to life without him,” according to an insider.” The photographer died in August 2023 while battling ALS. The insider says she still has many hard days, feeling really lonely without him.
Sandra Bullock’s friends “have gotten her through this”

Over the past couple of years, Sandra Bullock has apparently been leaning heavily on her circle of friends. Even in the face of tragedy, though, she’s reportedly been very proactive by going to therapy. More than that, though, “it’s her friends that have gotten her through this,” an insider tells RadarOnline.
Among those who’ve been there for Sandra is Nicole Kidman, who is going through her share of tough times herself. Nicole and Keith Urban finalized their divorce only recently, after nearly 20 years of marriage. Both women reportedly leaned on each other during the filming of Practical Magic 2. They were a shoulder to cry on for each other during rough moments when the cameras weren’t rolling. Insiders says the two were “closer than ever” during production for their latest film.
Sandra and Nicole’s bond may be even closer now, but they’ve been friends for many years. The two Oscar winners formed an instant connection during the making of the first Practical Magic film in 1998. That has continued up until this day. By all accounts, they had to get on the same page quickly for the Practical Magic sequel, which had the pair in several scenes together.
The movie will be Sandra’s first since losing Bryan. Her previous film credit was Bullet Train, which came out in 2022. Practical Magic 2 will be released on September 18.
