In an interview with The Herd, Tom Brady was asked about Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ potential retirement and the impending difficult decision the 42-year-old has to make. MLFootball shared a clip of the former quarterback’s response on their official X (formerly Twitter) account.
In the clip, Brady got candid about how his last season was difficult due to his divorce from Bundchen. He said, “My last season was tough. I was going through a lot of just a personal family issue, and it was a challenge, and it was a very… It just took a lot out of me in terms of my ability to continue to play.”
Reflecting on his decision to retire, he added, “I had 23 years of [football] so I didn’t think I was missing anything, retiring. I felt like I always had a goal — 45. I was 45 years old, I wanted to spend time with my kids, I felt like, okay, now it’s time for me to be at all my kids’ games. They’ve been to enough of their dad’s games.”
The Brazilian supermodel tied the knot with jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in December 2025. The couple welcomed their first baby, a boy, earlier that year after they began dating in 2023. She shares two kids, 16-year-old son Benjamin and 13-year-old daughter Vivian, with Brady.
Meanwhile, the Fox Sports Analyst also shares an 18-year-old son named Jack with ex Bridget Moynahan. Most recently, he has been linked with Dancing With the Stars alum, Alix Earle, as they were spotted together at a New Year’s Eve party in St. Barts.
