Ashley Tisdale gained a lot of attention after her essay on the mom group went viral. Although the actress “truly never expected this to turn into such a mess,” it surely created quite a buzz since it was published online.
“She swears up and down that it was not about revenge and is very quick to point out that she never named names,” a source told the Star.
However, things spiralled when Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, took to his Instagram Story and took a dig at Tisdale for the article. He mentioned, “When You’re The Most Self-Obsessed Tone-Deaf Person On Earth, Other Moms Tend To Shift Focus To Their Actual Toddlers.”
Sources say if Koma “hadn’t attacked her for the article, this would have faded away and no one would have ever known for sure who she was writing about.” But Koma’s response “seemingly confirmed it was Hilary and opened Pandora’s box.”
This made the High School Musical alum “very hurt and upset.” The insider added, “All the hateful messages she’s been getting, not to mention the mean things Mattew said in his post, that really took her down.”
However, it seems things turned out in her favour as the actress is now “getting bombarded with offers and attention and could capitalize on it.” The source shared, “She loves writing, so she’s leaning towards taking a book deal, but she’s even getting big money offers to host her own podcast, so the sky is the limit.”
