WWE Fans Taunt Logan Paul Over Infamous Japan Trip

Logan Paul recently learned that international wrestling fans can be just as ruthless as those in the United States. During a live episode of WWE RAW on Netflix, the “Maverick” faced a wave of intense mockery.

The event took place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The local audience decided to dig up a controversial moment from Paul’s history. They clearly wanted to make their voices heard during his high-profile tag team match.

Logan Paul mocked by WWE fans over Japan trip

During the broadcast, Logan Paul teamed up with fellow members of “The Vision”, Bronson Reed and Austin Theory. They faced off against WWE legend Rey Mysterio as well as Penta and Dragon Lee. However, the action inside the ring was almost overshadowed by the noise from the stands.

The Belfast crowd erupted into a rhythmic and loud chant. They sang, “He’s banned from Japan, he’s banned from Japan, Logan Paul, he’s banned from Japan.” This specific chant references Paul’s widely criticized trip to the Aokigahara forest in 2017.

While the fans were relentless, Paul has clarified his status several times. He maintains that he is not actually legally barred from entering the country. Furthermore, he has expressed interest in returning to Japan under the right circumstances.

The tune itself is a melody popular with UK soccer fans. Therefore, the Belfast crowd found a creative way to use a local sporting tradition to target the WWE superstar.

Despite the hostile reception, professional wrestling legends still see massive potential in Paul. WWE Hall of Famer John Bradshaw Layfield (JBL) recently offered high praise for the athlete.

In a recent interview with VideoGamer, JBL called Paul a “future world champion.” He described Paul as a respectful individual who is “doing everything right” in his career. Although he faced heavy heckling in Belfast, Paul’s trajectory in the WWE remains strong.
