Nicholas Galitzine has finally got the power. After starring in hits like “The Idea of You” and “Red, White & Royal Blue”, the British actor is taking on his most muscular role yet as the iconic He-Man.
Amazon MGM, and Mattel Studios have finally released the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated “Masters of the Universe” film. Directed by Travis Knight, the footage promises a grand return to Eternia. And the internet is already locked in a fierce debate over this modern reimagining.
Fans divided over He-Man’s first look in Masters Of The Universe teaser
The teaser introduces Galitzine as Prince Adam, a former astronaut from Earth who becomes the defender of Castle Grayskull. His “He-Man” look deviates from the classic 1980s cartoon, featuring a more grounded, battle-worn aesthetic.
The film boasts an incredible ensemble, including Camila Mendes as Teela, Idris Elba as Man-At-Arms, and a transformative Jared Leto as the villainous Skeletor. Other stars include Alison Brie and Kristen Wiig. But even this star power couldn’t stop fans from sharing polarizing opinions.
On the positive side, many viewers are thrilled by the scale of the production. One fan commented, “The CGI is looking good,” while another eagerly noted, “June 5 just got circled lol.” The action sequences also earned praise, with one user stating, “This scene looks so awesome.” Another simply declared, “This is going to be EPIC.”
However, the backlash was just as loud. Some detractors took issue with Galitzine’s physique. One critic added, “A bit disappointed he’s not as huge as the classic cartoon version.” Harsh skepticism followed, as one netizen wrote, “This movie is going to be really bad,” and another bluntly claimed, “He’s not a good actor.”
