Ashley Tisdale is not to blame for the breakup of a famous mom group. That’s according to Dylan Efron, who recently spoke up in her defence following the headlines the High School Musical actress has been making. Dylan’s brother Zac starred in that movie franchise along with her.
Ashley publicly cut ties with a mom group this month, one that she called “toxic.” Among those in that group are Hillary Duff, Mandy Moore, and Meghan Trainor.
Dylan’s had his say … but he’s not entirely clued up on the situation.
Dylan Efron says Ashley Tisdale has always been “so sweet”
Dylan Efron hasn’t forgotten how Ashley treated him as a youngster. The two have known each other for some time, and the former Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) contestant has fond memories of her.
The production coordinator was a guest on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Wednesday. Dylan was asked by a fan his thoughts on the drama surrounding Ashley. He admits that he prefers to steer clear of drama like that, but did say, “Since I was a kid, she’s (Ashley) been so sweet to me.” He adds that he can’t see her doing or saying anything malicious in the mom group.
Andy’s take on the situation is that it’s all a big misunderstanding. That’s a theory Dylan believes is possible, while he admits he’s not sure how this all started. In her article this month, Ashley described feeling not cool enough to be part of the famous mom group. She claims to have been excluded from all of their hangouts.
Dylan partnered with Daniella Karagach on the 34th season of DWTS. He said in December that he didn’t notice much romantic sizzle between the couples on his season.
Ashley portrays Sharpay Evans in the High School Musical franchise, with Zac playing Troy Bolton. These days, Ashley no longer follows Hillary or Mandy on Instagram but still follows Meghan Trainor.
