JonBenet Ramsey Case Gets New Detective as Police ‘Conducted Several New Interviews’

Colorado police are hoping a new detective can solve a case that’s gone cold for nearly three decades. The death of six-year-old JonBenet Ramsey sent shockwaves across America in 1996. Investigators in Boulder aren’t giving up in their quest to crack her murder case.

Boulder police chief Stephen Redfearn says they have “conducted several new interviews as well as re-interviewed individuals based on tips.” New evidence has reportedly also been collected. They are entrusting a hotshot investigator to get to the bottom of this.

Even after all this time, police in Boulder haven’t forgotten about the JonBenet Ramsey murder. In August, the department quietly brought in Kenny Beck, a hungry detective and former Alabama deputy sheriff. Many believe he may bring “a fresh pair of eyes” to this case.

RadarOnline reports that Kenny has met with renowned gumshoe Jason K. Jensen. Jason is the author of the novel I Know Who Killed JonBenet: My 29 Year Journey for Justice.

In December, new evidence came to light in the case of JonBenet. Jason says Kenny is tackling this case head-on and that it’s full speed ahead for them in finding a conclusion. They hope that AI technology will help them sift through millions of documents, along with thousands of reports and interviews, across 17 states and two foreign countries. There are reportedly over two thousand pieces of evidence in this case and thousands of tips.

For a long time, Boulder police have taken heat on this matter. Many allege the department botched the case. Contaminating the crime scene and wrongly targeting Jonbet’s parents, John and late wife Patsy, are among the criticisms flung at the police.

There seems to be optimism, though, with Stephen as police chief and the addition of Kenny.
