President Donald Trump expressed a unique desire inspired by rapper Nicki Minaj: to grow out his fingernails. The unexpected declaration came during his Trump Accounts Summit in Washington, D.C.
Donald Trump talks about growing nails
Speaking at the Trump Accounts Summit on January 28, Donald Trump surprised the audience by making a lighthearted comment about his appearance while calling Nicki Minaj onstage. “I said I am going to let my nails grow because I love those nails. I am going to let those nails grow,” Trump said as he introduced Minaj during the event.
The president used the moment to commend the rapper for her loyalty, telling attendees that Minaj has been a consistent supporter. During his remarks, he praised her for “being MAGA,” adding that “she’s been with us all the way.” Nicki Minaj embraced her role at the summit, calling herself Trump’s biggest supporter during her speech in Washington, D.C. “I am probably the president’s No. 1 fan, and that’s not going to change,” Minaj told the crowd.
She also addressed criticism surrounding her political stance, saying, “The hate — or what people have to say — it does not affect me at all. It actually motivates me to support him more. And it’s going to motivate all of us to support him more.” Minaj went on to defend Trump against critics, adding, “We’re not going to let them get away with bullying him. He has a lot of force behind him, and God is protecting him. Amen?” (via People)
Beyond public praise, Minaj backed Trump’s policy initiative. According to CNBC, she plans to contribute between $150,000 and $300,000 to Trump Accounts, a program introduced under the “One Big Beautiful Bill Act.” The accounts are designed for U.S.-born children between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, with each account launching with a $1,000 government seed contribution and annual caps of $5,000.
