Don Lemon is calling out those in the journalism industry. The former CNN and NBC News correspondent wants journalists to develop a stronger backbone and fight back against Donald Trump. Don was arrested last week while covering a protest. He and many others have been voicing their displeasure about the conduct of ICE and border patrol agents following a pair of shooting deaths in Minnesota last month.
While he thanked all those in the media who had his back, he is pleading with them on another front.
Don Lemon is speaking out against corporate influence

Don hasn’t shied away from his thoughts about the Trump administration and would like to see others follow suit. On his YouTube channel this past weekend, Don asked for journalists to push back against corporate influences. He claims that those influences are skewing news coverage to curry favor with the President.
It’s something he had to wait until the weekend to mention, as he had been in custody on Friday. Following his arrest, the White House mocked the situation. Don had captured the attention of the Department of Justice by live-streaming some of the church protests happening in Minnesota. They even put him on notice days before detaining him.
Don’s attorney, Abbe Lowell, released a statement following the arrest. He called it a violation of the First Amendment. He also believed it was a ploy by the President to distract from other issues. That’s a theory previously tossed around by 2024 Trump supporter Joe Rogan. The comedian wondered if all the controversy in Minnesota may be a way to divert people’s attention away from the Jeffrey Epstein files. Those documents were all supposed to be released last month against the late sex offender. Thousands of those documents have yet to be revealed.
