A source told Us Weekly that the Lover singer has “some hesitation” about inviting Blake Lively to her upcoming wedding. The source noted, “It would likely trigger a media frenzy.” Swift and Kelce announced their engagement last August. Since then, numerous reports have claimed that the couple plans to tie the knot this summer. For now, whether Lively and her family will receive an invitation remains uncertain.
Lively was an integral part of Taylor Swift’s girl squad for years. However, that changed in 2024 when Lively’s legal battle with her co-star, Justin Baldoni, dragged the songstress’s name. Swift and Lively have not interacted publicly since.
Things got worse last month when the friends’ correspondence became public, thanks to new unsealed court documents. At the time, a source had claimed that Swift felt “violated” that her private conversation with Lively became a topic of public scrutiny.
Another source told Us Weekly that Lively and Swift have not talked much in the last year. They explained, “They may have exchanged texts here and there since, but it’s been a long time since they’ve had a meaningful conversation. Taylor has stepped back because it has eroded a bit of trust between them.”
The source also noted that although Swift knows Lively did not intend to drag her into this mess, she feels “violated by proximity.” They further said, “When Taylor got pulled into this, it triggered boundary tightening… It will take time to see how things end up between them.”
