Melanie Hamrick, fiancée of veteran rocker Mick Jagger, has claimed she was “physically attacked” outside a London club.
Melanie, 38, shared her experience with her followers on Instagram stories. The post has since been deleted. In the post, Melanie recalled being “grabbed” by two people “from behind” at the private members club Annabel’s in Mayfair.
Melanie Hamrick says she was grabbed “from behind”

“This is incredibly hard to share — but I was physically attacked at @annabelsmayfair tonight,” she wrote on the photo-sharing app. The post has since been deleted, but multiple outlets obtained it before it was taken down. “I’m so thankful to my friends for protecting me,” she added.
“Two people grabbed me from behind and thank god for good people who stepped in to help me,” she recalled. I’m shaken, sad and heartbroken that people can treat each other this way.”
The Sun U.K. spoke exclusively to the Metropolitan Police in London about the incident. The outlet was told the incident was “an opportunist mugging outside the private members’ club.”
“We are aware of an Instagram story alleging an assault in Mayfair on Tuesday 10 February, and encourage the victim to report this to us,” the Met told the paper.
“The Met is committed to tackling crime in the West End, including violence against women and girls, and recognise the traumatic impact incidents of this nature can have on victims,” they added.”
The police force claimed it is working to tackle crime in the wealthy London area. “By increasing visible patrols in identified hotspots, we have already reduced theft in the area by 30 per cent since last April, while personal robbery is down by 20 per cent, meaning thousands fewer victims.”
Mick and Melanie have been in a relationship since 2015, having met the year prior in Tokyo when she was with the American Ballet Theatre. The Rolling Stones frontman had previously dated fashion designer L’Wren Scott, who died in 2014.
