Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth have reportedly ended their relationship, closing another chapter after more than a decade together. The actors, who first met in 2012, separated last year, according to a source familiar with the situation. The duo shares a daughter, Isabel, who was born in 2022.

Talking about Shia LaBeouf and Mia Goth’s separation, a source exclusively told PEOPLE, “Their relationship has always been complicated. They weren’t getting along and had a lot of drama last year.” That tension ultimately led to a change in living arrangements. The insider said Goth “encouraged” LaBeouf to leave their Los Angeles home. He has since relocated to New Orleans.
“She loves him, but she also doesn’t need him,” the source explained. “She’s very independent. She has her own life, her own career and her priority is their daughter.” The source added that LaBeouf remains devoted to their child: “Shia loves their daughter and stays in touch.” Despite their breakup, they have kept most of their relationship private and have not shared details about the changes publicly.
LaBeouf and Goth met in 2012 while working on the set of “Nymphomaniac: Vol. II.” Their relationship quickly grew intense and sometimes rocky. In 2015, a video showed them having a heated argument during a trip overseas. In 2016, they held a ceremony in Las Vegas that many reported as a wedding.
Later, officials clarified that the ceremony was not legally binding. In 2018, they announced plans to divorce. However, by 2020, they appeared to reconcile and were seen wearing wedding rings again. In 2022, they welcomed their daughter, Isabel.

According to a New Orleans Police Department report, the actor faces two counts of simple battery following an alleged altercation after midnight on February 17 during Mardi Gras celebrations in the city’s French Quarter. TMZ obtained video footage showing LaBeouf, shirtless, receiving medical treatment from paramedics outside a bar.
