Caleb Williams isn’t afraid to show off his glamorous side. The Chicago Bears’ star quarterback, it seems, enjoys going to the beauty salon.
His hands are drawing plenty of attention, especially given the stereotype that football is a sport for tough guys. The first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft evidently doesn’t mind flaunting a different look that goes against what many would expect to see in his profession.
NFL star Caleb Williams doesn’t care if you hate his painted nails…
He may play a stereotypically masculine sport, but Caleb Williams also likes to partake in some more elegant customs. One of them is painting his nails, something which drew criticism from many. In an appearance on The Rush with Maxx Crosby, the Bears quarterback told the NFL defensive star what he thought about the criticism he’s received. Caleb says he “couldn’t care less” what others think about his nails.
He adds that he will keep doing it, because he says it’s unique to him. Caleb believes it’s a cool way to embrace and show love for certain things. The 2022 Heisman Trophy winner just completed his second NFL season, leading the Bears to an 11-6 record and a trip to the NFC Divisional Round.
Caleb has a close connection in the nail industry. His mother is a nail technician, which is where his love for manicures came from. He says that after a date with a former flame, he was inspired to paint his nails. That was the suggestion the mystery woman reportedly told the college star.
While his nails have made headlines, it’s not nearly as scandalous as the allegations against another former Bears quarterback. In November, it was reported that Jay Cutler, an ex QB in Chicago, was being sued by the man he hit in a DUI crash in 2024.
Now, the Bears quarterback isn’t afraid to get manicures, often doing so to raise awareness. Among the causes he’s gotten manicures for were suicide prevention and breast cancer.
