Ex-Prince Andrew’s arrest has reportedly prompted his and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters to step up and hold crisis talks with King Charles. Pictures show Andrew looking shaken as he left the police station after his arrest on suspicion of misconduct in public office linked to his time as a UK trade envoy. Now, the images and the sudden escalation have reportedly hit his daughters hard.
Ex-Prince Andrew’s daughters holding ‘crisis talks’ with King Charles after arrest, says source
Ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, have stepped in following Andrew’s arrest, with sources exclusively telling the Daily Mail that the sisters have moved into “crisis talks” and have also spoken with King Charles as they try to protect their own families and futures.
A source told the Daily Mail that the sisters are “utterly horrified” by what happened. Besides, royal commentator Ingrid Seward talked to the outlet, speculating, “I’m sure they weren’t expecting it. It’s really embarrassing and distressing for them both.”
Moreover, a source told the outlet the sisters “are very distressed,” with Seward suggesting that the arrest could change how the sisters view their past. She anticipated, “Sadly, they’re going to start doubting everything their father ever told them.”
Still, someone who knows the princesses well stressed that family ties do not switch off overnight, claiming, “People are saying that they are not talking to them [their parents] but it is more complicated than that. This is your father, this is your mother, so there will never be a right and a wrong.” But the same insider added that the sisters “feel that they can’t be seen with their parents because everyone is watching. It makes a really difficult situation even more difficult.”
Furthermore, an insider claimed that although ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson’s daughters plan to stay united, they will respond differently to their father’s arrest. In that, the insider claimed, “Eugenie will stay silent, but Beatrice will be very conflicted,” adding, “She will almost certainly keep some sort of contact with her father, but out of sight.”
