Andy joins Malika Andrews, a much touted basketball host, who was at the forefront of the Australian Open, Wimbledon and U.S. Open coverage. ESPN announced Malika’s new role in January.

In a statement, ESPN vice president of production said, “We’re thrilled to welcome Andy to the team. ESPN has long led the way in delivering in-depth tennis analysis, and with several recent talent additions, we’ve further strengthened our coverage. Andy brings a distinctive, energetic, and highly relevant voice that will elevate both our studio and match coverage.”

Andy received a “multi-year deal,” according to ESPN. In a statement, the tennis Hall of Famer said, “Simply, I’m always just a massive fan of tennis. I’m very excited to join the ESPN tennis team and look forward to covering the two biggest tournaments in the world.”

Andy, who retired from the sport in 2012, reached the Wimbledon finals three times and the U.S. Open finals once. He became the world’s top player after defeating French Open champion Juan Carlos Ferrero at the 2003 U.S. Open. Andy had nine year-end top 10 finishes in the ATP rankings between 2002 and 2010. The tennis star also played a part in the United States reaching the 2007 Davis Cup title. In 2017, he was inducted into the Tennis Hall of Fame.

Over the years, he has dipped his toe in acting, making a few TV appearances. These include Sabrina the Teenage Witch in 2002, Saturday Night Live in 2003, Just Go With It in 2011 and The Dink in 2026.
