Duff reminded Cooper that she had already become a mom four times, so she had experience. But still, she admitted that she was “so stubborn about it,” adding, “I just wanted it to work out, and it didn’t.”
Moreover, the actor said, “And like then you’re 2 weeks out of like not nursing and you’re like, ‘Yes, this is the best freedom ever.’ But in that moment, you’re like, ‘How will I ever cope with this? How will I — why can’t I be good at this?’”
Hilary Duff highlighted that although the breastfeeding struggles “consumed” her, time and perspective helped her cope. Her message and sheer honesty were a way to acknowledge mothers in the same position.
