Dax Shepard has this reaction to Jessica Alba recalling their past fling
Dax Shepard shared that he was “flattered” to learn that Jessica Alba recalled their past fling. The Idiocracy star recalled on the March 9 episode of the podcast, “I’ll speak for myself. I’m at the age where anyone who will own up to having dated me, I’m kind of like, very proud of that. I can give you an example.”
The 51-year-old confessed that he went on “a couple of dates” with Alba, much before either of them got married. He clarified to podcast guest Amanda Peet, “I want to be clear. We were not dating, dating. But Jessica Alba, a long time ago, 20-something years ago.”
Shepard and Alba joined forces to star in the Netflix dark comedy thriller El Camino Christmas. At the time of filming, the Hit and Run star maintained a respectful distance from Alba. The podcaster was convinced that Alba did not want anyone to know about their past fling.
Shepard recalled with a laugh, “We’re in the makeup trailer, and I’m thinking, ‘Oh yah, she doesn’t want anyone in here to know this’ because that’s where my self-esteem is.” Continuing further, he recalled, “And then, she yelled across from the other end, ‘Remember when we used to make out.’ I was so flattered that she wasn’t embarrassed she had made out with me.”
Shepard and Alba’s brief fling never flourished into a full-fledged romance. The podcaster went on to date and eventually marry actress Kristen Bell. The couple have two children and have been together for over a decade.
Meanwhile, the Barely Lethal star married Cash Warren and the former couple share three children together. Alba and Warren finalized their divorce in February this year. The 44-year-old actress is currently dating actor Danny Ramirez.
