The Oscars will have a lot to live up to following last year’s show. That was Conan O’Brien’s first time hosting the show, and the comedian earned praise for his presentation, flow, and quick-witted humor. He’ll be back on hosting duties this weekend with Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan serving as executive producers for a third successive occasion.
The nominees for the golden statuettes were revealed in late January, with a new category added this time around. Best Casting is the first new award added to the ceremony since Best Animated Feature came out in 2001. Now we know the entertainment for the big night as well.
The 98th Oscars performers have been revealed

As usual, the Oscars will have plenty of high-class entertainment. The musical performances this year will be inspired by two of its most popular 2025 movies, KPop Demon Hunters and Sinners. KPop Demon Hunters is up for Best Animated Feature Film, while Sinners has earned an Oscar-record 16 nominations.
From KPop Demon Hunters, we’ll see Ejae Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami perform the Oscar-nominated song from the film Golden. As for Sinners, Miles Caton and Raphael Saadiq will perform I Lied to you from that movie, which is also up for Best Original Song on Sunday. Those two will be joined by several others in a tribute to the film’s singular style.
The show will also include appearances from Josh Groban and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. While there are plenty are great movies and performances that will be honored on Sunday, there was a notable movie snubbed. The big surprise of the January nominations was that Wicked: For Good did not receive any. The first movie got 10 Oscar nominations.
This year’s In Memoriam segment will be extra sentimental, with some huge stars passing away. Among the actors that will be honored are Diane Keaton, Robert Redford, Brigitte Bardot, Robert Duvall and Catherine O’Hara. The 98th annual Academy Awards air Sunday, March 15 at 7 pm E.T./ 4 pm Pacific on ABC and Hulu.
