After a week in the hotseat Bill and Hillary Clinton needed some time to themselves to kick back. The former President and First Lady have been under the microscope since the release of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Bill’s photo on the disgraced financier’s island is among the many big names featured in those documents.
The political couple, whose marriage has been through the wringer for years, enjoyed, for a change, a relaxing evening together in the Big Apple. The couple were spotted leaving Il Tinello, an Italian restaurant in New York City on Monday.

Peace and quiet are probably what Bill and Hillary desperately needed after last week. The two faced plenty of questions from the House Oversight Committee over the Epstein files. Both said they had no knowledge of the late pedophile’s crimes. During Bill’s questioning, the former President was asked his thoughts on Jeffrey’s suicide. He said that he didn’t know what happened. All he knew was the medical finding, which deemed Jeffrey’s death to be a suicide. Hillary said that she doesn’t even remember ever meeting Jeffrey.
Given how prominent the two are, it seemed to be a relatively calm night for Bill and Hillary on Monday. Hillary gave a quick wave to people outside before getting into her ride with Bill right behind her. The couple agreed to be deposed on the Epstein files after being threatened with potential contempt of Congress charges.
Bill is the first American President to testify before a congressional panel since Gerald Ford in 1983. The former Arkansas Governor continued to deny any wrongdoing in the matter.
His marriage to Hillary has often been said to be crumbling. There were reports in December that he and Hillary would divorce due to the Epstein files.
