Removing ex-Prince Andrew‘s daughters, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice, from their royal titles will allegedly be unfair and may also spark backlash. As reported by GB News, royal expert Lynn Carratt said the Princesses should not lose their royal titles.

Per the news outlet, the expert said to People’s Channel that “Stripping them (Beatrice and Eugenie) of titles would risk creating public backlash.” She continued, “Their roles as royal princesses and as private individuals carving out their own careers.” The royal expert also added, “And identities remain separate from Andrew’s controversies.”

In the meantime, per the news outlet, according to Lynn Carratt, removing the royal titles of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie will ignite “a new controversy. The royal expert explained to the news outlet that “Retaining their titles maintains fairness, respects their personal achievements.”

She continued, “and avoids unnecessary complications for the Royal Family.” Carratt further went on to say, “Removing them could create more headlines for all the wrong reasons.” The royal expert then added, “And inadvertently draw attention to the very issue they have no part in.”

The report was released after the Thames Valley Police arrested the two Princesses’ father, ex-Prince Andrew, on February 19, his 66th birthday, on suspicion of misconduct in public office. The arrest took place at the former Duke of York’s current temporary residence, the Wood Farm cottage, on the royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
