The recent dispute pulled in Meghan Markle, the couple’s spokesperson, and older tensions Harry had already described in “Spare” and on “60 Minutes” when discussing his stepmother and her role inside the royal system.

As per Star’s report, Prince Harry was “fuming” over the biography claim that Queen Camilla told a friend Meghan Markle had “brainwashed” him. The source said he usually let criticism pass, but this accusation hit differently. “This notion that he’s Meghan’s personal poodle has really shaken Harry and stirred up old wounds that really sting,” the insider said. According to the same source, he believed Queen Camilla was “the main troublemaker” and felt she “made life extremely difficult” for the couple when they still lived in England.
However, the strongest public pushback came from the Sussexes’ own camp. As per People’s March 14 report, their spokesperson attacked Tom Bower’s book after The Times serialized excerpts from “Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family.” The statement said, “Mr. Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation.” It then added, “Those interested in facts will look elsewhere. Those seeking deranged conspiracy and melodrama know exactly where to find him.” In turn, that response shifted the story from palace gossip to a direct public rebuttal.
Still, this was not the first time Prince Harry publicly linked Queen Camilla to older grievances. In “Spare,” he wrote that he had “mixed feelings” about gaining a stepparent and thought she had “sacrificed me on her personal PR altar.” Then, in his “60 Minutes” interview, he called her “dangerous” and tied that to “the need for her to rehabilitate her image.” Now, with Meghan Markle again pulled into the latest royal row, the source said Harry was determined to find out who was “spreading these rumors” and blocking peace with his father.
