Britney Spears is under the spotlight again. Following her shock DUI arrest earlier this month, all eyes have been on the singer. Now, a source has provided insight into how she is doing, claiming that Britney has a “tendency to think she’s kind of invincible.”
Britney “spends a lot of time alone at home”

To recap, Britney spent roughly three hours in a Ventura, California jail after being arrested on suspicion of DUI on March 4. Her rep later stated to the media that the “unfortunate” incident was “completely inexcusable.”
“Hopefully, this can be the first step in a long-overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life,” the statement went on. Since then, several celebrity friends and fans alike have shared their concern about the 44-year-old. That includes a source who told US Weekly it is a “delicate situation.”
“Everyone around Britney wants her to be healthy and stable, but you can’t force her to do anything,” the insider claimed. Commenting directly on her arrest, the source said: “It wasn’t a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’ she would get arrested.”
“She spends a lot of time alone at home, which leads her to make bad choices,” the insider added of the events that led to Britney’s arrest. “She has this tendency to think she’s kind of invincible, especially since she’s been free from the conservatorship. For a while, she felt like there were no real consequences, but lately, it’s started to catch up with her.”
Another source alleged that pills – specifically “over-the-counter things” from Mexico – could be the cause of Britney’s recent behaviour. Meanwhile, a third source suggested the transition from her conservatorship has not been smooth.
“A care plan was established when Britney’s conservatorship ended. But it’s been hard to enforce without the court involved,” they said. “There were multiple times when Britney refused to follow the plan,” the first insider agreed.
Britney has a court date for her alleged DUI set for May 4.
