Rodrigo has been recording and taking in the city between studio days. The conversation circles around her perception of fame, relationships, celebrity drama, life as a child actor, and how much of herself she feels comfortable putting out into the world.
When the topic turned to family and marriage, Rodrigo said she was “long way from” marriage, “for sure!”. She then joked with a line from “Broad City,” saying, “What am I, a child bride?.” This is because, in her opinion, young women should think about happiness in the first place.
She said, “I hope that young girls know that life is full of so much joy that is unrelated to a husband or kids.” However, she followed her statement with a confession. She told Vogue, “That being said, I want to be a mom more than anything.”
Rodrigo explained why she sometimes feels conflicted when she looks ahead. She has spent most of her life working. Having already reached career milestones she once imagined far off in the distance, she feels “more mature for my age than maybe I should. So I don’t know.”
