Ex-Prince Andrew’s Daughter Princess Eugenie Makes Birthday Decision

Former Prince Andrew’s daughter, Princess Eugenie, chose a private birthday celebration amidst her family scandals. Her 36^th birthday was March 23.

Her father and mother, Sarah Ferguson, are ostracized from the royal family, so it’s not a surprise Eugenie kept it lowkey. Andrew’s February 19^th arrest and previous scrutiny on his and Sarah’s ties to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein put a damper on the family’s celebrations.

For the last couple of years, Eugenie posted her birthday celebrations on Instagram. She included shoutouts to her sons, August, 5, and Ernest, 2, along with her husband Jack Brooksbank.

Unfortunately, with her parents in an unsavory spotlight, this birthday was not commemorated publicly. Both Andrew and Sarah were listed in the Epstein files unveiled on January 30 by the U.S. Department of Justice. Plus, the former Duke of York’s arrest last month for suspicion of misconduct in public office was unprecedented.

In January 2022, Andrew settled with his now late accuser, Virginia Roberts Giuffre in her sexual assault lawsuit out of court. In October 2025, King Charles took away Andrew’s royal titles in response to what was uncovered in the Epstein files. These revealed both Andrew and Sarah apparently had close relationships with the late financier. Those named in the Epstein files are not charged with wrongdoing, and the former couple has not been accused of crimes in association with Jeffrey. The former prince has continuously denied any wrongdoing.

Eugenie’s first public appearance since Andrew’s arrest was on February 24 and 25. She was photographed visiting London’s Hagen Espresso Bar in Notting Hill on Tuesday with her husband. The following day, she went out for a shake by herself in London.

Unlike their cousins, William and Harry, Eugenie and her sister Beatrice are not working royals. Both work in private charity careers but still attend royal family events. With their father’s arrest and mother’s alleged links to Jeffrey, their future is up in the air. It’s not clear how this will impact the sisters moving forward.
