Tiger Woods won’t be allowed to drive Trump’s grandchildren, sources say
Tiger Woods has reportedly been banned from driving Donald Trump’s grandchildren after facing DUI charges. The golf champion is dating Vanessa Trump, who shares five children with her former husband, Donald Trump Jr.
Woods was taken into custody on Friday after he flipped his Land Rover in Florida while attempting to overtake a truck. Martin County Sheriff John Budensiek said that Woods agreed to do a Breathalyzer test, which detected no signs of alcohol. However, he refused to do a urinalysis and was subsequently arrested.
Following this incident, which marks his fourth major road accident, Woods has reportedly been barred from driving with Trump’s five grandchildren on board.
Speaking with the New York Post, a source claimed, “There would be concern if their kids weren’t being protected by Secret Service.” They added that the agents are “certainly not letting Tiger Woods – even without the DUI” to drive the children.
Donald Trump addressed the recent accident after arriving in Miami on Friday to appear at the Saudi-backed Future Investment Initiative Priority Summit. Speaking with reporters, the President said, “I feel so badly. He’s got some difficulty. There was an accident, and that’s all I know.” He called Woods a “very close friend of mine,” adding that “he’s an amazing person, amazing man.”
Woods was previously arrested in 2017 for driving under the influence. The police reportedly found him in an apparently unconscious state in his car with the engine running. Four years later, the golfer was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash in California. He had reportedly suffered multiple injuries to his legs and had to undergo major surgery.
