In the wake of Tiger Woods’s arrest for DUI on March 27, 2026, his girlfriend, Vanessa Trump, posted a supportive message for him on her Instagram story. The model, who was previously married to Donald Trump Jr., wrote “Love you” with a photo of her and Woods together on a hammock in her story (via EW).

Woods was involved in a two-car crash in Jupiter Island, Florida. His vehicle collided with the side of a pressure cleaner truck and flipped over. No one was injured in the crash. Shortly after, Woods was taken into custody and charged with DUI with property damage, and refusal to submit to a lawful test. Officers on the scene claimed that Woods seemed impaired.

Reports state that Woods claimed he was not on alcohol and had taken some prescription medication earlier that day. He also claimed that he was changing the radio station on his phone when the crash took place. Woods had two white pills in his pocket at the time of his arrest. The pills have been identified as the opioid hydrocodone.

The veteran golfer said in a statement, “I know and understand the seriousness of the situation I find myself in today. I am stepping away for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary in order for me to prioritize my well-being and work toward lasting recovery.” He added, “I’m committed to taking the time needed to return in a healthier, stronger, and more focused place, both personally and professionally. I appreciate your understanding and support, and ask for privacy for my family, loved ones, and myself at this time.”

This is not the first case of DUI for Tiger Woods, who faced a similar charge in 2017.
