On a solo episode of The Squeeze on YouTube titled “My Pregnancy Journey,” Taylor Lautner’s wife, Tay, told listeners, “I’ve never shared anything this personal with the internet before,” adding, “I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous about it.” Moreover, she explained her fear, stating, “I was scared that someone was going to find out I was pregnant and leak it.”
Lautner revealed that the anxiety eased once they posted the news themselves, saying, “It was really exciting that Taylor and I got to do that on our own terms.”
Tay said she did not expect the reaction that followed. She called the support overwhelming in a good way, saying, “My phone that day was blowing up like crazy, and I’ve just never experienced anything like that before.” The podcaster added that it reminded her “how precious this pregnancy and this baby is.”
Despite every good thing, Tay did not gloss over how isolating early pregnancy can feel, especially when you keep it private at first, revealing that the first trimester surprised her in ways she did not see coming. Hence, she stressed that people need to speak up about what they need.
As she talked about support, she pointed to her husband, telling her listeners, “Taylor has, as you all could guess, has just been a dream,” and adding, “He has been my saving grace during this pregnancy, especially my first trimester.” Then she got specific about the support from Taylor Lautner, revealing, “He was my chef, my waiter, the runner, the cleaner. He was the everything,” and that is exactly the kind of support that a wife needs during pregnancy.
