Stephen Curry Injury Update Provided After Missing Lakers Game

Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr shared an important update on Stephen Curry’s injury. The team was without Curry, Kristaps Porzingis, and Al Horford for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers. However, the Warriors are reportedly looking forward to having all three back for Friday’s game against the Sacramento Kings. Notably, Curry was rested due to a right knee injury, described as runner’s knee.

Warriors’ coach Steve Kerr revealed that Stephen Curry will play on Friday. In the same pre-game press conference, Kerr said he is hopeful Porzingis and Horford will be available as well. Notably, Curry has been having a mixed season. Between February 3 and April 2, he missed 27 games (via SI.com).

However, at the time, he returned to play against the Houston Rockets on April 5 and against the Kings on April 7. Curry scored 29 points against the Rockets and 17 against the Kings. The Warriors lost 117–116 against the Rockets; however, Curry’s remarkable performance showed that he has not missed a beat.

Moreover, the Warriors found some respite, winning 110–105 against the Kings. Curry, 38, has appeared in 41 games for the Warriors this season and has averaged 27 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.8 assists (via USA Today and Athlon Sports).

As for Porzingis, he was listed out of Thursday’s game due to illness management and right knee soreness. Horford, on the other hand, has missed the last 14 games due to a calf injury. But since he was able to play in a practice game, fans are hopeful of his return.

Fans have shared their opinions online. One fan commented, “Praying everything goes according to plan. We need everyone back and healthy.” A second fan remarked, “Man, f**k that. We wanted Steph vs. Bron. We only get so many more matchups,” followed by multiple broken heart emojis.

The Warriors hope to conclude the season on a triumphant note against the Los Angeles Clippers on April 12.
