Getting into Coachella will be a little more costly for fans. Justin Bieber is to blame for a surge in ticket prices for the upcoming music festival at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. The Canadian pop star, who is among the festival’s headliners, leaked some last-minute rehearsal footage for his upcoming concerts at the venue.
That TikTok footage has sent Beliebers into a frenzy. It’s also seen a huge spike in tickets for the big event.
Coachella ticket prices have hit a whopping $4,000
This year’s Coachella has suddenly become a hot ticket for fans. The release of a few Justin clips has people scrambling to get their hands on tickets for the 25th edition of the festival. Sources tell TMZ that Justin has been sound checking a lot of his classics ahead of his performances. Among them are One Less Lonely Girl and Boyfriend.
As a result, resale price tickets for Coachella have exploded, reaching the $4,000 mark for general admission weekend passes. That’s a massive jump from the $649 those passes were selling for in September.
The money Coachella stands to gain from ticket sales may reinforce the mixed reviews of the lineup. It may also justify to them why Justin is said to be earning a massive salary as one of this year’s headliners. Sabrina Carpenter and Karol G. are among the other big names taking part.
Justin’s last tour was unfortunately cut short in 2022 following his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. There was speculation back then that we might not see him live in concert again. Now, though, it appears fans are willing to do whatever it takes for the chance to see him perform once again.
This year’s Coachella begins today and runs until April 19. Justin will headline the festivities on Saturday and again on April 18.
