Rapper Offset Ditches Wheelchair for First Show Post-Shooting Incident

Rapper Offset bravely rose from his wheelchair for his first show post-shooting incident. For those unversed, the rapper’s representative previously confirmed that Cephus (real name) was shot last Monday near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Less than a week later, the 34-year-old performed at Rowfest at the University of Arkansas on Saturday, April 11.

Rapper Offset ditched the wheelchair for his first major performance post the shooting incident. The former Migos rapper shared a brief carousel of him performing at Rowfest at the University of Arkansas on Saturday, April 11. This comes merely five days after he was shot in Hollywood, Florida, outside of the Hard Rock Casino.

He shared the carousel with the caption, “REAL LOVE,” followed by a heart emoji. Unsurprisingly, the post garnered 243K likes, 6,857 shares, 4,000 comments, and 3,283 retweets.

In the video, Offset appears on stage in a wheelchair and slowly ditches the wheelchair to stand on his own two feet. The crowd cheered for him wildly as the rapper stood proudly in front of his fans. A throne-like chair was placed adjacent to his wheelchair, but he chose to stand, keeping the moment minimal. His setlist included Migos’ 2016 hit single, “Bad and Boujee” (via Entertainment Weekly).

Fans were impressed with the 34-year-old rapper’s dedication and shared hilarious yet heartwarming reactions on Instagram. One fan quipped, “wheelchair had a 7 day free trial,” followed by multiple laughing emojis. A second fan joked, “The wheelchair was a prop.” A third fan commented, “I’m glad he’s able to be there and perform. Life is precious. He definitely had his guardian angel watching over him.”
